LOL
Come on Steiny, don't be shy! :D
Put in practise those annual french classes with Roy and you will get it.

But just in case that's not enough, we can always call to Mr. Automatic Translator.

I don't know a single word of french, but I liked these two bits:

"To get old, sometimes sucks. But I would say that death is more present. I suddenly realise how short life is, though in a certain period of my life, I have never thought to get to 47 years. I really think that I'm in the beautiful part of old age", assures smiling shyly.

----

At the age of 47, he thinks that he will never become a father.
"I think that it will not arrive, but it is not like it's something missing in my life".

He must have found his missing shirt because he has it on! I remember him complaining about it missing a year of two ago as it was one of his favorites. Alby, you have really made me curious about what the article says in full.

Perhaps, Marcia will have mercy on us poor souls and give us a boost. :)

At the age of 47, he thinks that he will never become a father.
"I think that it will not arrive, but it is not like it's something missing in my life".

I think it's really sad he says that. Yes, he has his RF work, his sailing voyage etc. and maybe contraversial (pls don't block me!!!)but I just don't quite believe him...he's said in the past he's ready to have children, the desire was/is there....met him only once & only from 1st impressions I reckon he'd make a great dad & he'd revel in it. He's not too old to have a child/children.....I'm free!!!! :D ....although at 40 I'm tick tocking as well!!!

Hi EmmaJane! Contraversial? First let's give Marcia a chance to translate the whole article and see if she comes up with the same meaning. I too think he would be a great father and I don't think he is too old either, but maybe he accepts the fact it may not happen and he refuses to live his life with regrets. Seems there is only one woman he would want to have children with and I don't think it's either of us!!! ;)

Hi Emma!
I'm sure we all agree with the fact that he would make a great dad :)
I also remember the 2002 interview, where he said he was ready for kids.
Sometimes life just happens, and also our way of looking at it.
However, we're not here to discuss Roy's personal life.
Let me kindly remind you that RDO does not question Roy's statements, decisions and/or opinions.
We're gathered here only to enjoy and celebrate Roy's career.
Don't be afraid of being "blocked"/banned. :missionmikey: Just keep in mind the boundaries I previously mentioned from now, and there's nothing to be worry about.
Just a reminder :D

Thanks for posting that one Alby! Sounds like an interesting article! :) So good to see the shirt back again too!!
Hmmm, I wonder what the name of the new Forcier film is? Viv, have we mentioned this before in one of the older posts? I tried looking, but couldn't figure out how to get to the older 'news' posts. I just see one page here, Alby. Are there more listed somewhere?

Does that mean I cannot post about enjoying and celebrating Roy's body? Darn... That's one of the great pleasures in my life. I could go on and on about how good his back looked in that long-sleeved T-shirt at the RFC. The soft white cotton provided a perfect, but unintentional, canvas emphasizing its breadth and muscularity. Perhaps I may celebrate Roy not just as a working actor , but as a work of art , as well? :P

This is my first post back on the “new” board. Oh dear, is my type of humor out of bounds? (And why does the font box stay on top of the window where I key in my words? I’m writing blindly. Aarrgh!)

Hi Gretchen! I don't think you have ever overstepped any boundaries with your humor. I read Alby's post to remind us all that we should respect Roy's decisions about his personal life. As for the shirt, I have several pics of that lovely shirt and what it did to enhance his back.

As for your second round of questions........go to Registration or Techie Problems, Comments or Questions then to Emoticons and hopefully you find a couple of suggestions. You aren't the only who has been faced with this.
