Hi ladies!
From Le Soleil...

According to this article, Roy will star in Kim Nguyen's new film "Truffe" with Céline. I couldn't find any other info on this, so I'm not sure if it's definite. I hope we'll find more about it very soon! smile.gif

Hi Shoko - this sounds interesting, but I am afraid that the link is not working for me. I will try again later - and if not, look up Le Soleil myself!

Thanks anyhow!!

Here's another article that doesn't say much more except to throw in the term "project postmoderne". canoe

It is illustrated with a picture of Roy and Celine from Les Etats Unis d'Albert which is probably apt.

Good catch, Shoko, you early riser! biggrin.gif

Not much around yet - here's the SODEC Annual Report for 2005-06 which shows that Kim Nguyen got $20,000 to develop the script (p82), and according to IMDb he hasn't done very much, although his first feature, Le Marais, with Gregory Hlady in the leading role, got reasonable reviews.

It DOES sound interesting. Of course when I think 'truffles' I think of the chocolate kind. Ymmmmmmmm. But the real kind are good too. I'm just wondering how they can fit into a movie. I guess we'll find out in time.

I like it that both Roy and Celine will be in it. They do work well together! And I love the picture from LEUA that was used. I loved the gentleness and love I felt coming from both of them in their scenes together...especially the one indoors.

Thanks, Shoko! And Viv, too!

Thanks Shoku! I can't understand the article unless I get out my french dictionary. laugh.gif

Mary- I like the way you think. At first I thought of Truffles as the organic kind, but chocolate is even better!

In French truffe can mean the mushroom kind, the chocolate kind, or a dog's nose.

Thanks very much Shoko, TrishB and viv for the information. smile.gif

There was a little (a very little biggrin.gif ) more info on the 7 Jours site. It said that it would be based in the Hochelage-Maisonneuve district, overgrown by truffles. Presumably that's some district of Montreal?

Yup - Hochelaga-Maisonneuve is just east of the Olympic Stadium and the Botanic Gardens.

A dog's nose? Okay, I guess I can see the resemblance to the organic kind of truffle, but never, NEVER to the chocolate kind (even if they DO resemble the organic truffle!)

Yup, Sanibelle, I'm definitely the Chocolate Truffle kind. Well, chocolate anything, for that matter. I admit I'm addicted. I'm so glad that scientists now say that dark chcolate (my favorite) is filled with sonderful antioxidants! So is red wine! Have you ever tried a glass of good red wine while nibbling dark chocolate? Just about the right way to solve most of life's problems! rolleyes.gif
