Hey there! smile.gif

Just a quick update to bring you the Best of Montreal 2010 results.
Check them out here.
(If you ask me, he's always the number one! wub.gif )

A short clip was added to the Comment Faire L'amour Avec un Nčgre Sans se Fatiguer page.

And a couple of Youtube links, that I'm sure you'll find very interesting...

- Bye, Bye [1991] » Click here!
- Flash D'Or [2005] » Click here!

(They will soon be added to the Library)

And last, but most definitely not least, there's a new topic on Birthday Celebrations. We can't let a b-day of our man to pass unnoticed! So, you're invited to add a belated happy greeting for Roy here.

Cheers! biggrin.gif

Great job, Alby! I'll have to head over and post on Roy's birthday thread and maybe share a thought or story. wink.gif

I always look forward to the Best of Montreal results. Roy will ALWAYS be first on my list too!

Does anyone else just find it intriguing how Roy and William Shatner seem to just keep swapping places....1 & 2 for years then last year Roy was 2nd and Shatner 4th, this year that swapped...AGAIN....

Great job, Alby. Good stuff in your update.

One question though....who is this guy that some silly person put in number one? Oh, well....I'm sure they'll get it straight soon enough! rolleyes.gif

Thanks very much for your first update, Alby. Great job!

Naturally, Roy will always be our No. 1 Montreal Star.

I think the reason other's get to be top of the list now and then is because they have a current hot movie - like Jay Baruchel. His current film, "The Trotsky" got a great deal of buzz at TIFF last Sept, and at other film festivals too. He's also the voice of the young hero in the current animated hit "How to Train Your Dragon" and he was just in that "teen flic" where he played the geek who gets the pretty girl...can't remember the name of it. He is a good, quirky, memorable character actor ( He will never be a Leading Man, but I don't think he aspires to that - he's just happy to be working!). I really like and admire him for continuing to live in his hometown, Montreal, being a huge "Montreal Canadiens" fan, and being a proud Canadian! He also proves that one can stay in Canada and still get good Hollywood film roles!

I love your Roy videos -
He was sooo young in that "forgettable" movie... but sooo cute!
And of course, Roy's sooo sweet as Ovila with his "Belle Brume" on "Bye Bye 1991"...I must say...in my experience...he's the only man I'd want to kiss me on New Year's Eve! laugh.gif
I love, when he is told that he is the winner of the "sexiest man" award in the other video, and Roy say: "Again?" laugh.gif That cracks me up! He wasn't being conceited, he was really surprised that, at the age of 42 (in 2005), he was still considered sexy!!! He is asked if he finds it difficult to be known for his "beautiful face". He says it does not concern him. He concentrates on his craft and doesn't pay attention to comments about his looks. The interviewer also asks him if he is afraid of getting older and losing his looks. Roy says no, it is the furthest thing from his mind. He's so down-to-earth, that guy!
Boy oh boy...that man just does NOT get how great an effect he STILL has on us!!! But, in a way, that is a good thing...if he believed all this adulation we pour out constantly...he would be totally arrogant and full of himself...which, he is definitely NOT! biggrin.gif

I have to say...it was quite disconcerting to come home after a long day of work to check on the doings at RDO and find the Message Board format completely changed after only a week and with no warning. Thankfully the rest of the board hasn't changed...I had enough problems figuring this out being overly tired. We seem to have lost our avatars and how this whole part of the board worked before. I'm sure we will all get used to it...just...after all the recent upset with the changes a little time and / or warning would have been nice.

<b> It is urgent we upgrade the forum to the newest version. Viv mentioned before, that upgrading will set us free from the spam bombing but will take us back to the "plain blue" skin of Invision, and in order to setting up like it was before, she would need a lot of help.
So, the plan is to upgrade it and be on "plain blue", for about 7 days or less.

-----
Marcia did a great recap about Jay! :) And it's exatly like she said, he's no leading man material.
Elisa and Jay worked more in Hollywood and I supose that influences the votes a lot.

I believe I remember commenting that the "plain blue" would be a small price to pay for Karen's sanity and clearing up the spam problem. It's not forever...so we get to learn something new again in a few days~~!!

Good going, Alby! I always liked the old look, but this is very nice, indeed. The only change I'd suggest is making the fonts a little laarger. I can't read some of the smaller copy, even with a magnifying glass! (Yeah, I know I'm old, and we all know about those old folks.) But, please consider this....please!!! Thanks@

Thanks girls! :)
You know, I liked the blue too LOL, but purple&green are the RDO colours so I had to work with those.
There are still lots of things to work on, this skin is at least more customized and it doesn't say "IPBoard" on top. That was getting my nerves   . I decided to mantain the classic style, so we don't have to learn another "new thing".
The avatars are back (we all missed them) and Roy's face is on the "read"/"unread" topics.

A forum member suggest me the new image on the header.
She told me that Roy's eyes are way too gorgeous to be in black&white.
I couldn't argue with that LOL, so by your request... there it is!
If you have any more comments or suggestions feel free to do it, here or via email.

Sure MaryM! :)
Small fonts give headaches!
I will work on that asap.
(If you could make a screencap of your explorer so I can see how are you viewing the forum, will be great) :D
