Hi everyone ~

Many of you have asked me over the past few months if the Foundation intends to have a soirée bénéfice this fall, as we have had every year since 2004. I don't know the answer yet and am still hoping to know within the next few weeks. Personally, I think this is a very important event for the Foundation for several reasons, and I'm sure Roy will plan to participate if we go forward. But there is such a great deal of volunteer time and preparation involved in arranging the program that it takes a good while to get decisions made.

Anyway, on my Facebook page, I have posted a message asking for your thoughts and opinions about the soirée, which I would appreciate. Maybe it will be persuasive to the ones we need....

If you cannot find me on Facebook, just send me a private message here on the board, and I'll be in touch.

I want to thank Alby for her warm welcome. It's good to be here, and I hope this post looks all right when I'm done with it. :)

I definitely vote for another Soirée this year! I will be there with bells on! :woohoo: The Foundation not only benefits monetarily but the publicity is so important to keep their message in the public eye, especially for the local Québécois! I would love to see performers like Damien Robitaille again - but anyone from the last Soirée would be excellent! I wonder if William Deslauriers would be available this year? He is a terrific new young Québécois singer/songwriter. :)

Maxine, I'll get over to your Facebook page soon and include my 2 cents. But I will tell you it will be the same as Marcia's. I truly enjoy this experience and it is wonderful to see the community participating in this fun event. I hope Yann would be available this time as I've become quite a fan of his music.

I just wanted to let you know that I am doing everything possible to be sure the soirée happens this year. It may be in November, as it was originally, rather than October, but we don't know yet. Planning is on-going though. As soon as I know anything, I will post it.

That is great news, Maxine. :) Fingers crossed that all goes well with the planning. October or November, as long as the Soirée becomes a reality, I will do everything I can to be there! ;)
